The article I chose is about the Academy awards show that aired today. This award ceremony acknowledges all the actors, actresses, and producers who have produced magical pieces of film and that deserve to be noticed for their work. Slumdog Millionaire is a movie written and produced by Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy. Slumdog Millionaire was a very heart swelling movie. This movie is about a young boy from Mumbai who loses his mother and becomes an orphan that goes through lots of hardship trying to find his childhood lover. This movie was one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen, and I must compare this movie to being just as good as The Dark Knight.
This movie came into the Academy awards with ten movie nominations and left with eight academy awards. I have to agree with all the awards that they won and I actually think they should have won more. This movie made me realize how much of a luxury lifestyle I live in. Having a sewage system, a house, clean clothes, and an education are all things that I have and that many people in India have never experienced. This movie I think has really made me change the way I appreciate life and made me cherish the many luxurious things that I have living in the United States.

Yeah slumdog millionaire was good but I wouldn't even put it in the same level as Dark Knight though. Dark Knight was just freaking amazing. I can't believe only Heath Ledger won, if i remember correctly. I think the Oscars is rigged at times..
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a chance to watch this movie. I have been hearing good things about this movie. I don't think you can compare it to the dark knight tho. Not because theyre arent on the same level, but because it's two different types of movies. Dark knight is an action movie. This one is not an action movie. Not sure what genre it is under. I saw on the news the girl in the movie is taking acting lessons in her country. And before the movie her family was living in one room. I forgot what channel it was but it was on the news. Im going to have to see what the deal is with this movie.
